 Amelle Berrabah, a British artist and singer with Moroccan descent, was born 22 April 1984. She took over Mutya Buena as founding member of the Sugababes in December 2005. She achieved the number-one spot for her solo single in 2009 after collaborating with Tinchy Stryder on their single "Never leave You", making her the first and only member of the Sugababes to record an album with a top-ten single independent of the group.Amelle Berrabah (born 22 April 1984) was also known as Amelle is an British singer, best known for her time as a member of girl group Sugababes who replaced founding member Mutya Buena who left the group in December 2005. She was able to achieve a solo top-ten single in 2009, when she joined forces with Tinchy Stryder on their single "Never Leave You", making her the first and to date, the only member of the Sugababes to record a number one single that was not part of the group.Following Mutya Buena's departure from Sugababes, Berrabah was brought into the group as a replacement by the management of the group. The manager of the group had witnessed Berrabah perform at an American performance a few months before in 2003, and Berrabah
